Dhanya Ramkumar is an Indian actress and model. She was brought up in Bangalore, Karnataka and completed her education by earning a B.A degree in Journalism and Mass Communication from Jain University. Her artistic brilliance dates back to the time she used to accompany her father and grandfather on the sets. Being a granddaughter of veteran actor and icon of Indian Cinema Dr Rajkumar, her love for the cinema was inbuilt. Owing to this, her inclination towards the cinema was understandable despite working in the corporate during the early stages of her career. She would often be a part of the college's fashion team despite the academic pressure. She accepted many modelling offers and walked the ramp for various top brands in the business. She began her career as an employee at a PR firm in Bangalore. Later, Dhanya forayed into acting and made her debut in film industry with Ninna Sanihake in 2021, playing the role of Amrutha. She won the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut - South for her role in the movie. In 2024, she featured in Kannada Movie Hide and Seek as Hasini. In the same year, Dhanya appeared in The Judgement, followed by Powder, portraying the role of Nithya. The versatile artist has impressed the audiences with impactful performances.
